Park Rules

Once the park is open, these basic rules of dog park educate will help assure a pleasant experience for everyone at the dog park:

Dog handlers must accompany and supervise their dogs in the park at all times. (You are legally liable for your dogs actions.)

No more than 3 dogs per person are allowed.

Dogs must be leashed upon entering and exiting the park.

All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, and free of communicable illness & disease.

Handlers are responsible for picking up after their dog. Bags are provided.

Children are not allowed in the dog park unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Dogs in heat or puppies under 4 months of age are not allowed in the park.

Only dogs less than 20 inches tall are allowed in the Small Dog Area.

The City of Merced and/or M-DOGS shall not be liable for any injury or damage to dogs or their owners. Users of the park do so at their own risk. All dog bites must be reported to Merced City Animal Control at 385-4720.

The park is open from 6 AM to 10 PM daily. It is subject to closure due to maintenance and/or special events.

Dogs displaying bad behavior will be required to leave the park immediately.

For the safety of the dogs, smoking is discouraged inside the dog park.
